The Rescaldina-based company, specialized in the manufacture of predispersed pigment preparations (Chips) for industrial use by the manufacturers of paints, inks, coatings and colorants, offers a specialized range of biodegradable Chips.<\/p>\n

Growing concerns for a more sustainable future, given the delicate balance between economic, environmental and social factors, convinced Mifar of the need to develop a specific range of Chips designed for printing on biodegradable materials (Mater-bi)<\/strong>. Predispersed in a nitrocellulose solution, Mifar\u2019s Compostable Chips are used by manufacturers of inks for printing on biodegradable consumer media: from supermarket shopping bags to special packaging for food and non-food items.<\/p>\n

The Compostable Chips by Mifar are VINCOTTE certified<\/strong>, in full compliance with the EN 13432<\/strong> European standard, which defines the characteristics of \u201ccompostable\u201d packaging (i.e.: recyclable through organic recovery). With this certification, Mifar is the only chips manufacturer<\/strong> that can guarantee the use of biodegradable<\/strong> pigments, which do not contain heavy metals or other prohibited substances. Mifar\u2019s Compostable Chips are classified as state-of-the-art products with a high color intensity and offset printing tests provided excellent results in terms of brilliance.<\/p>\n
